The Massachusetts Human Rights Coalition is sponsoring a day-long gathering of individuals and organizations working to promote human rights. This is an opportunity for networking and information-sharing.
A morning panel discussion will address community organizing and legal protections for transgender people in public accommodations.
Afternoon break-out roundtable topics include: education and advocacy promoting human rights issues; responding to human-rights related incidents in your community; building positive relationships with local law enforcement; and how to create a human rights organization in your town or city.
Lunch will be donated by Koshari Mama and coffee and tea provided by Starbucks.
This event is free and open to all. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
Cosponsored by State Senator Jason Lewis and State Representative Paul Brodeur.
