Lexington Stands with our Muslim Family and Neighbors

  • Battle Green or Emery Park at the Depot (to be determined on Friday) (map)

In the wake of Christchurch Mosque shootings, Lexington residents will stand in solidarity with our Muslim family and neighbors. Please join us for this important vigil and show of support for the Muslim community in Lexington. Please bring your families and children to the event, and please share this event with your friends, families, and neighbors in Lexington and beyond.

The location will be either the Battle Green or Emery Park. We plan to finalize by the end of the day on Friday, so watch this space before you head out.

Agenda:
6:30 PM: Gather and community welcome
6:35 PM: A few words by organizers
6:45: Recitation of the names of victims at Christchurch
Lighting of candles
7 PM: Azaan (call to prayer) and prayers with Muslim neighbors
7:15 PM: Speakers will address shared concerns and call to action
