This year LexPride, First Parish, and the Arlington Rainbow Commission will collaborate on

Transgender Day of Remembrance: November 17 at First Parish in Lexington. 4:00-5:00pm, make trans ribbons before event (all ages welcome). 5:00-6:30pm, join us for the commemoration.

To plan the event, we are holding a planning meeting on October 29, 4:30-5:30pm, at First Parish. If you are interested in helping but cannot attend this meeting, please feel free to send ideas or let us know that you would like be involved in next steps: LexPrideMA@gmail.com.

For the moment, we are thinking of introductory remarks with background on TDoR and its importance, reciting of names, and opportunities to transgender people (or parents) to share stories, poems, music, and other talents. We are living in difficult times, so we want to honor victims and also find ways to connect in positive ways to generate greater connection, understanding, and hope with people who attend the event. We welcome your input.
